April Prevention Events

During the month of April, sexual assault programs across the state and the nation will intensify their efforts to promote public awareness of sexual assault issues, such as child abuse and rape. They will stress the need for citizen involvement in reducing sexual assault and abuse against children and the importance of increasing community support for agencies providing sexual assault crisis and educational services, such as the Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County.

In addition, this month is dedicated to helping raise education and awareness for childhood abuse and to proclaim April “Child Abuse Awareness Month”. The public is invited to join us in Recognizing April as Child Abuse Awareness month by participating in many initiatives taking place during the month.

Each child is assigned a MDT is gathered as a best practice process so that the child does not have to repeat their trauma to multiple investigative authorities.
