The Tipsy Toboggan

Angels Anonymous

Location: 231 Weaver Street
Time: Food Pantry open 3rd weekend of the month 10am-12pm.

Gates of Hope

Time: appointment only during weekday afternoons.

Location: 112 Flint Street

Fall River YMCA Parking Lot

Citizens for Citizens Food pantry
Location: 264 Griffin Street
Time: Wednesday from 8:30am-12:00pm.
The pantry will be open to all who bring in a recent pay stub and ID.

New Bedford Public Schools

Meals available from 11:30am-1:00pm Monday through Fridays at:

Gomes Elementary, Campbell Elementary, Carney Academy, Hayden McFadden, Keith Middle School, Lincoln Elementary, Roosevelt Middle

Surrounding towns are being offered to get meals in New Bedford as well

When getting the food, staff will ask the school child goes to for tracking purposes only.  They will not be asking for proof of residence.

This funding will provide emergency financial assistance for individuals during the COVID-19 public health crisis to meet needs such as housing, child care, and other basic needs. United Way of Greater New Bedford will distribute funds on a rolling basis beginning April 6, 2020 and continue until funds are expended.

Exempt Emergency Child Care Programs

These programs are reserved for emergency care and is limited to essential personnel. For example: health care workers, essential state and human service workers, COVID-19 health workers, grocery store employees, emergency response personnel, law enforcement, transportation and infrastructure workers, sanitation workers, DCF-involved families, and families living in shelters.
