In 2019, The Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County began The Spreading Our Wings Capital Campaign to raise the $3 million necessary to purchase and renovate our building at 58 Arch Street. On September 16, 2022, we cut the ribbon on our beautiful new building. Our forever home is designed to meet the needs of hundreds of victims who face trauma and abuse each year. Every day we turn tears, fears and bruises into hope, healing and justice for children.
Our Renovations Included:
- Expanded waiting room suites for families for safe, confidential sessions with family advocates and mental health clinicians.
- New forensic interview rooms for child and adolescent victim interviews with developmentally appropriate furniture and all accompanying AV equipment.
- More Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting spaces. Added case review and community training rooms to host outreach and prevention workshops with caregivers, adults and youth from throughout Bristol County.
- PediSANE medical health suite with advanced exam equipment and consultation space.
- Mental health clinical treatment rooms with age appropriate furniture and equipment.
- SMART rooms with sensory equipment to meet therapeutic needs of trauma survivors.
- Shared office spaces, and storage for service delivery equipment, and ample parking for increased staff and community partners.
- An Education & Outreach Suite for developing training curriculum, storing prevention materials and conducting community outreach.
