- This training prepares youth serving professionals for a best practice response to ensure the safety of the child as well as an efficient and effective investigation.
- Massachusetts law requires mandated reporters to file an oral report immediately when they have reasonable cause to suspect a child under 18 is suffering from abuse or neglect.
- A written report is required within 48 hours.
- Training topics include mandated reporting laws, recognizing signs/symptoms, myths and facts of child abuse, and best practices in responding to disclosures of abuse including minimal facts interviewing techniques.
